Hello! I’m Jessica — a passionate French teacher, globe-trotting mom, and a lover of languages and cultures.
Originally from Clermont-Ferrand, in the heart of France, I’ve settled in Santos, Brazil, after having the chance to live and study in several countries.
This experience showed me the gap that can exist between textbook French and real French, the one we use every day.
Having been a “foreigner” myself learning to adapt, I understand your challenges. I don’t just teach grammar; I share practical advice, cultural references, and native tips to help you integrate.
My classes are just like me: lively, full of energy, humor, and empathy.
I believe we learn best in a welcoming and stimulating environment.
That’s why I favor interactive classes inspired by real life, to help you speak French with pleasure, by developing your confidence and natural ease.
My journey through France, Spain, Ireland, Chile, and Brazil has allowed me to understand the challenges of foreign learners.
With over 5 years of experience, I’ve had the pleasure of supporting nearly a hundred students. My journey has allowed me to work with people from all nationalities.
As for my family, I’m married and have two wonderful children, aged 5 and 7, who are growing up with two cultures, French and Brazilian.
My journey is the story of a passion for languages. After a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Foreign Languages and a Master’s, I obtained the DAEFLE (Diploma of Aptitude for Teaching French as a Foreign Language).
Why I created Kilucru?
Because with me, learning French will surprise you… in a good way, and most importantly, it will be truly useful for you!
“Kilucru” is a nod to the expression “Qui l’eût cru?”, which means “Who would have thought?”, “Who could have believed that this would happen?”.
After living and studying abroad, I realized that the “traditional” learning method had its limits. I often found myself looking for classes that would help me speak “real” Spanish, Portuguese, or English—the one used in everyday life, with practical advice.
That’s why I created the classes I would have loved to take! My method combines the essential basics (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, etc.) with practical tips and advice I’ve gathered in the field. The goal is simple: to help you express yourself with ease and confidence, teaching you to speak like a native, not a textbook.
